Society for Process Thought
Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy
The purposes of SAAP are (1) to promote interest and research in the history of American Philosophy, (2) to encourage original, creative work in the spirit of that tradition, and (3) to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas on American Philosophy.
SeminarThe purpose of the
Hocking-Cabot Seminar is to foster original systematic philosophy. In
recent decades, the trend in professional philosophy has been toward
increasingly specialized discussion of minutely portioned problems, or
endless scholarly commentary upon figures long past. The Hocking-Cabot
Seminar is designed to encourage bolder, more comprehensive, more
systematic, and more speculative projects.
